Cleo Leung

Equally at home in the physics research lab or a symphony orchestra, flutist Cleo Leung, 26, is a renaissance woman and leader in the finest humanist tradition. Cleo has served most recently as principal flute of the CCM Spoleto Orchestra, CCM Philharmonia, Concert Orchestra, Wind Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, CCM Cafe MoMus, CCM Ballet, CCM Mainstage Opera, and CCM Chamber Winds as a Doctor of Musical Arts and Masters of Music (granted June 2011) student in flute performance in the studio of Dr. Bradley Garner at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. While earning her A.B. (granted 2008) in physics at Harvard University, handling a full course-load and research position in the department resulting in a published conference paper on quantum optics, she served as principal of the Harvard Radcliffe Orchestra, Bach Society Orchestra, Harvard Pops Orchestra, and the Brahms Society Orchestra. She has performed in numerous orchestral and flute masterclasses, orchestral, chamber, and solo festivals throughout the world.
