Born in Venice, Italy in 1990, Edoardo Carpenedo graduated Summa Cum Laude and Honors from the Trieste (Italy) Conservatory of Music at the age of eighteen. At a young age, he had the privilege of studying with Bruno Mezzena, a pupil of Arturo Benedetto Michelangeli, and Riccardo Risaliti, professor at the Imola International Piano Academy. Edoardo has attended master-classes held by Boris Petrushansky, Leonid Margarius, Matti Raekallio, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Emanuel Krasovsky, James Giles, Volodymyr Winnytky, Hamish Milne, Dominic Weber and Jose Mendez.In 2009, Edoardo was awarded a full-scholarship by the College of Charleston (SC) and was invited to pursue an Artist Certificate in Piano Performance under the tutelage of Enrique Graf. In his US debut, Edoardo impressed the audiences with “technical strength, sweet and singing tone and deep sensitivity.”

In the last six years, Edoardo’s main inspiration has been his work with concert pianist Jeffrey Swann, and under his mentorship Edoardo is currently completing his Master of Music in Piano Solo Performance at New York University.
Edoardo has received numerous awards in national and international competitions, including the prestigious “Trofeo Febo Villani.” He has performed extensively around Europe, especially in Italy, Switzerland and Spain, as a soloist, with the orchestra, and in duo with his sister Erica, a violinist.
Edoardo is also a passionate teacher. In September 2011, he was appointed as Adjunct Piano Faculty member at NYU Steinhardt, where he teaches private lessons and Keyboard Harmony and Improvisation classes.
